Regel-air® window rebate vents

With the Regel-air® vents, automatic control is provided by two or more individual modules. In the event of stronger wind speeds, the ventilation flaps of the window rebate vents close automatically, preventing draughts. Our ventilation systems for window rebates do not require any additional power supply. No power supply is required for the ventilation systems. Regel-air® window rebate vents operate purely mechanically and can be retrofitted very easily. The automatic window rebate ventilation ensures good indoor air quality, protects the building fabric and improves the indoor climate.

Depending on the planned ventilation requirements, precisely controlled, medium and high air flow rates can be achieved. All Regel-air® window rebate vents and ventilation systems for PVC windows do not require any cut-outs in the window frame for air ducting.

The Regel-air® FFL system is designed for window rebate ventilation in aluminium windows. Solutions have been developed in collaboration with leading system suppliers and profile manufacturers, whereby the rebate ventilator is fitted into a moulded component. The moulded component replaces the centre gasket in the area of the vent, ensuring that the centre gasket is not interrupted. The Regel-air® FFL-uni can also be installed on almost all aluminium windows .

Window rebate vents & ventilation systems for PVC windows

There are various Regel-air® ventilation modules for PVC windows: The window vents FFL-smart FFL, FFL-m, FFL-uni, FFL-quick, PLUS and FORTE.

Depending on the planned ventilation requirements, precisely controlled, medium and high air flow rates can be achieved. All Regel-air® ventilation systems require no cut-outs in the window frame for air ducting . As the ventilation modules are simply fitted into the window rebate, the façade remains visually unaltered. This is a very important consideration in energy-efficient refurbishments and modernisation projects involving listed buildings, to avoid ventilation issues. Our window rebate vents are maintenance-free, require no energy whatsoever and ensure effective passive ventilation – even in the context of forced ventilation. They are suitable both for factory installation and for the retrofitting to windows that have already been fitted windows. In short: our ventilation modules are the cost-effective solution for automatic air exchange, preventing mould damage caused by excessive humidity in the indoor air, and the efficient resolution of any existing ventilation problem. 
The certified Regel-air® vents are driving rain proof and can also be used in properties with higher sound insulation requirements, up to sound insulation class 4 . The windows’ burglary resistance remains unchanged.

  • The Regel-air® ventilation system FFL consists of a pair of self-regulating window rebate vents made of PVC. Each vent module features automatic airflow control. The FFL fits into the window rebate of all standard PVC windows.The Regel-air® window rebate vent is installed concealed in the upper, non-fitting area of the window. When the window is closed, the vent is not visible from either the inside or the outside when the window is closed, but ensures sufficient air exchange to supply the room with fresh air and remove moisture via the stale air .

    The Regel-air® window rebate vent FFL act as differential-pressure-controlled fresh air inlets with a suitable control variable in accordance with DIN 1946-6. The ventilation system ensures reliable moisture-protection ventilation at all times. The Regel-air® overlap vent ÜL can be manually adjusted or closed as required.

    As wind pressure increases, the system’s ventilation flaps close automatically. This prevents draughts. The ventilation flaps open again automatically as soon as the wind pressure decreases.

  • The Regel-air® ventilation system FFL-m is a vent concealed within the window rebate, which can be opened and closed via a barely noticeable control lever whilst the window is closed. The FFL-m is suitable for both horizontal and vertical installation. A basic ventilation is possible despite the vent is possible if the sash gasket is the manufacturer’s specifications to an extended length, thereby increasing the achievable air flow rates. The Regel-air® FFL-m enables controlled air exchange and reliable dehumidification without draughts. 

  • The Regel-air® ventilation system PLUS is a combination of the self-regulating window rebate vents FFL with automatic air flow limitation and a manually and continuously adjustable overlap vent ÜL to increase the air flow rate.

    The required minimum air change rate can be easily achieved by using the Regel-air® vents.

  • The Regel-air® FORTE ventilation system combines a pair of manually infinitely adjustable Regel-air® slide vents and a pair of Regel-air® FFL  with automatic airflow control. As an automatic ventilation system, the window rebate vents FFL ensure the necessary minimum air exchange at all times. The slide vent can be operated as required. With the Regel-air® FORTE system, over 20 m³/h of air can be moved per window sash without opening the window . Even when used in conjunction with extract ventilation systems, the Regel-air® FORTE ventilation system is ideally suited to high air flow rates. 

  • The Regel-air® ventilation system FFL-uni  and Regel-air® ventilation system FFL-quick 
    The FFL-uni is a universal vent for PVC, wood, wood-aluminium and aluminium windows, which is securely screwed to the window frame. The FFL-quick is suitable for all standard PVC, wood, wood-aluminium windows and can be easily installed using pre-fitted adhesive tape. The FFL-quick is not suitable for aluminium windows. The Regel-air® FFL-quick and the FFL-uni are self-regulating window rebate vents. They are ideal for retrofitting (with the exception of flush-fitting windows).

Window rebate vents & ventilation systems for wood and wood-aluminium windows

There  are three different ventilation systems for wood and wood-aluminium windows from Regel-air®: The vents FFLH Type 14/24, FFLHA Type 23 and FFLHmax Type 44.

  • The Regel-air® window rebate vents FFLH for wood and wood-aluminium windows ensure a reliable minimum air exchange to protect against damp through passive ventilation.

    The vents are suitable for two different applications. The standard Regel-air® FFLH Type 24 is primarily intended for factory installation. The Regel-air® FFLH Type 14 is suitable for retrofitting in existing windows.

    The basis for both vent Types 24 and 14 is the classic Regel-air® FFL. The flaps in the vents react to wind pressure and close automatically as wind pressure increases.

    To ensure the minimum air change rate is met in special constructions, such as arched windows, the ventilation systems can also be installed vertically. The 24 RF and 14 RF models are suitable for this purpose. Thanks to a return spring in the flaps of the window rebate vents, it is ensured that the flaps re-open automatically after closing.

  • The Regel-air® FFLHmax Type 44 is a self-regulating window rebate vent and the systematic further development of the FFLH Type 24. The new version utilises the well-known flap technology, which has proven its worth over the last 25 years and reacts to wind pressure. Installation is carried out as usual . The ventilation ducts are visible and even easier to clean.

Not only are air flow rates of over 15 m³/h at 8 Pa achievable, but sound insulation levels of 42 dB can also be achieved, depending on the combination and arrangement.

  • The ventilation system Regel-air® FFLHA Type 23 is an automatic ventilation system for wood-aluminium windows. In wood-aluminium windows, the Regel-air® window rebate vents FFLHA must only be used as a supply air device in conjunction with permanently operated, fan-assisted extract ventilation systems.

There are two different  Regel-air® vents for installation in the window rebate of aluminium windows: The vent types FFL and FFL-uni

  • The Regel-air® system FFL is also used in aluminium windows. Together with various system integrators and profile manufacturers, reliable solutions have been developed for passive ventilation using the vents: The rebate vent is fitted into a moulded component which replaces the centre gasket in the area of the vent. This installation method ensures that the sealing plane is not interrupted and guarantees an adequate air exchange.

  • If no solution is available for the appropriate profile, the Regel-air® vent FFL-uni can be used. This all-rounder fits all windows with an overlapping sash.

The universal vent for all materials from Regel-air®: FFL-uni

  • The Regel-air® FFL-uni is the universal solution for PVC, wood, wood-aluminium and aluminium windows.

    The FFL-uni is a self-regulating window rebate vent, which is suitable for factory fitting, but is also ideal for retrofitting . The FFL-uni fits virtually all windows and window types (with the exception of flush-fitting windows). The window rebate vent features two independently adjustable flaps, which regulate the airflow to prevent draughts. The Regel-air® FFL-uni is screwed onto the upper window frame using a drilling and cutting template.

    By using the FFL-uni enables controlled air exchange and reliable dehumidification without draughts.
