Applications for the Regel-air® window vents
The Regel-air® vents are mainly used in the cross ventilation.
Furthermore, the vents can also be installed in conjunction with extract air systems, as a supply air element for the combustion air supply and the shaft ventilation.

Cross ventilation
The Regel-air® window rebate vents operate via the cross ventilation. To ensure that air circulates through all rooms, it is recommended that every window in every room be fitted with Regel-air®.
An individual ventilation concept in accordance with DIN 1946-6 can be drawn up. Air exchange via vents is influenced by the building’s location, the design of the façade and wind speed.
Exhaust ventilation systems
Regel-air® vents are ideal for use in combination with a exhaust system and ensure the necessary supply of fresh air. Exhaust air systems remove stale air from buildings.
To ensure that sufficient fresh outdoor air can flow into all rooms, external air inlets are required. The Regel-air® vents are approved external air inlets.
Combustion air supply
The Regel-air ® FFL system is a recognised supply-air unit for the combustion air supply. It ensures the necessary supply of air and ensures efficient combustion. Please consult your chimney sweep to calculate the required Regel-air® vents.
Shaft ventilation
Shaft ventilation is an older form of home ventilation, which is still frequently found in older buildings. In the shaft, thermal lift is utilised to extract the stale air. This effect creates a negative pressure in the flat, which ensures that fresh air flows in via the Regel-air® vents. Nowadays, these shafts are often used to install a central exhaust system .
