Can Regel-air ®vents be retrofitted?
Regel-air® vents can be retrofitted in almost all cases.

Are there any draughts?
Draughts do not occur, as the standard air® window rebate vents FFL react to the wind pressure acting on the building. If the wind pressure increases, the vents close automatically and draughts are prevented.

Am I losing energy?
The constant air exchange within the flat system reduces room and wall dampness to a low level. This effect ensures that less energy is required to heat the rooms, as dry air is easier to heat than damp air.

The insulating properties of the walls are improved by the reduction in wall moisture. A further advantage is that the incoming air is preheated by around 10 degrees as it enters the window rebate.

Who can retrofit Regel-air® vents?
Regel-air® ventilation systems can be retrofitted by any window fitter or joiner. Simply get in touch with them. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Will the airtight window be made non-airtight?
Depending on combination and vents, windows fitted with Regel-air® window rebate vents FFL are considered airtight in accordance with DIN EN 12207. Air is channelled into the rooms in a controlled manner via the flaps, which are regulated by wind pressure, and the vents close automatically when the wind picks up.

With the PLUS and FORTE ventilation systems, the additional ventis can be closed manually. For all vents, not only the air flow but also resistance to driving rain has been verified.

Do I need to maintain or clean the Regel-air® vents?
The Regel-air® vents are maintenance-free and easy to clean when the windows are open. Simply wipe along the window rebate with a damp cloth whilst cleaning the windows.

Is it sufficient to install the Regel-air® vents in just one room?
The Regel-air® window rebate vents operate via the cross ventilation. To ensure that air flows through all rooms, it is recommended that every window in all rooms be fitted with Regel-air®. An individual ventilation concept in accordance with DIN 1946-6 can be drawn up.

Are the Regel-air® vents suitable as a supply air system for fireplaces?
The Regel-air system® FFL is a recognised supply air system for the combustion air supply. It provides the necessary supply air and ensures efficient combustion. Flue gas extraction is also ensured via the FFL. Please speak to your chimney sweep.

Are the Regel-air® vents visible, or does the external appearance change?
The Regel-air® window rebate vents FFL are installed out of sight in the window rebate and are not visible from either the outside or the inside when the window is closed. The external appearance of the façade is not altered by the PLUS and FORTE systems either. All ventilation systems are therefore also suitable for use in listed buildings.

Are Regel-air® vents suitable for use in combination with an extract air system?
Regel-air® vents are ideal for use with the combination and a exhaust system , as they provide the necessary supply air. Where shaft ventilation and extract air systems are already in place, they act as a supplementary and reliable supply air source.

Will the window’s burglary protection be compromised?
The burglary protection of the windows will not be compromised.

Do the Regel-air® vents require a power supply?
