Burglaries via windows and French doors have increased dramatically recently; a burglary takes place every 2–3 minutes in Germany!
Windows and French doors fitted with tilt-and-turn fittings and conventional locking pins have always been, and remain, an easy target for burglars. Using simple lever tools, such as large screwdrivers, wedges, pliers, etc., locking pins can easily be pried out of the strike plates to force open windows and French doors as quietly as possible.
To secure windows and French doors against being pried open from the outside, the quality-tested window bolt can now be fitted at the bottom and/or sides of the window or French door.
