Regel-air® vents
– small part, big impact
In addition to the functional requirements of a window, such as thermal insulation, resistance to driving rain and noise protection, the Regel-air® vents can also make an important contribution to energy-efficient, user-independent ventilation designed to prevent structural damage and mould.
With Regel-air® window vents, windows take on a whole new significance.
In the case of the Regel-air® window rebate vents FFL, FFLH, FFLHmax and FFLHA, automatic two-stage control is provided by two or more individual modules.
In stronger winds, the ventilation flaps close automatically, thereby preventing draughts. No additional electrical power supply is required, as the operation is purely mechanical.
Fresh outdoor air flows into the room through the Regel-air® ventilation modules.
As wind pressure increases, the flaps automatically close to prevent draughts.
With the Regel-air® FFLH, FFLHmax and FFLHA models, the fresh air supply is provided via small additional cut-outs in the frame and sash.
The Regel-air® FFL can be upgraded to the PLUS ventilation system using the ÜL overlap vent, which is normally fitted to the lower sash.
The combination allow for medium air flow rates to be achieved. The ÜL can be operated manually and continuously. Fresh air is also channelled to the cross-vent via the special frame gasket.
The Regel-air® FFL can be upgraded to the FORTE ventilation system using the manually adjustable slide vent SL, which are bolted to the upper sash.
The combination allow high air flow rates to be achieved. Unlike other ventilation systems, fresh air is fed into the slide vent via a special frame gasket fitted horizontally at the top.
Another advantage of the FFL ventilation system is the preheating of the air in the window rebate.
The window rebate, which is used for air intake in the Regel-air® system, has a rebate temperature of over 10 °C when the outside temperature is, for example, -5 °C and the inside temperature is, for example, +20 °C.
With the PVC window system, fresh outside air is supplied into the lower vertical section of the window frame. It is continuously preheated in the window rebate and rises through the long profile section into the room via the Regel-air® unit positioned at the top.
